You will learn ways to avoid common „fundraising traps“:

Avoid being squeezed by a "monopoly": Many founders make a mistake in their fundraising process and end up with only one offer from one investor (or a monopolistic group of investors who teamed up to squeeze them). Those founders have to accept any bad offer they receive and may end up with a bad investor due to lack of choice. Learn how to structure your process and use proven engagement strategies to get at least 2-3 offers on the table. That way you can negotiate from a position of strength and pick your favorite investors.
Avoid being perceived as desperate and needy: Many founders pitch, talk to investors and present their business the wrong way. They don't stay on "eye-level". They lose credibility and hurt their chances of getting funding. Learn how to establish eye-level relationships of trust and respect with investors that increase your chance of getting an investment.
Avoid the chicken-and-hen problem: Many founders meet investors who tell them either "it is too early - keep me updated", or "do you already have an investor? If not, I am not interested". Learn how to break through this vicious cycle and make investors make the first step.
